OpenRoleplaying.org is a site dedicated primarily to pen and paper, table-top,
role-playing games in all their forms. More specifically, the site is
a supporter and proponent of open (free) gaming in all its forms, independent
publishing, and related topics. The site also deals in related topics to RPGs such
as CCGs or TCGs, CMGs, table-top wargaming, general fandom, and computer-based gaming
such as MUDs, MUSHes, or MOOs.
The purpose of the site is to create a web community of RPG (and related) supporters
of all types and also focus upon and discussion open (free) gaming, independent publishing,
game design, and related topics.
OpenRoleplaying.org is a friendly community for all ages. Postings to the site should be
kept to PG-13 guidelines.
Any violation of this should be clearly marked and disclaimed. Excessive violation
of these guidelines will result in possible deletion, editing, or retraction of the offending
posting.
Repeated violations of this policy, participating in hateful, abusive, or threatening
behavior, or performing any action to the detriment of the site or the site's ability to function
properly will result in possible account restrictions, deletions, or legal action, depending
on the circumstances.
The only other guideline is to keep things on-topic, as outlined under the
Statement of Purpose, above.
OpenRoleplaying.org will never (and The Rock means never) use any membership information
for any purpose other than use in the site's features or semi-periodic, but irregular
newsletters. Simple.
Membership information and/or site logs may be used as part of legal proceedings, as
duly required by law.
Browser cookies are used to handle logins to the site.
These are used only for this purpose and both cookies are temporary, existing only for the duration
of the browser session.
The site authors, the site administrators, and any other parties shall not be held
responsible for actions, thoughts, deeds, ideas, notions, or concepts that may be
sparked by content on this site. This is a site about information, discussion,
creativity, and exploration--to take this any further is purely the onus of the
individual.
